Buriti oil (Mauritia vinifera and M. flexuosa).
Besides being an excellent exfoliator, buriti oil is rich in oleic acid, a type of fatty acid present in olive oil. It is also a natural source of beta carotene one of the most powerful antioxidants, known for its great ability of cell renewal, being widely used in anti-aging products (rejuvenecedouras) for its ability to increase skin elasticity. By absorbing radiation in the range of visible and ultra-violet light, buriti oil is very efficient as sunscreen, since it decreases skin dryness.
