This product is compatible with polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyvinyl butyral, cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose, ethylcellulose, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene and other resins, but is incompatible with cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate. The plasticizing efficiency of this product is the same as that of DOP, but the cold resistance, weather resistance, volatile resistance and stability of the viscosity of the plasticized paste are better than that of DOP, and the electrical insulation is slightly worse than that of DOP. Due to the high price, it is not widely used. This product is a non-toxic plasticizer and can be used to make food packaging materials. This product is also used as a solvent and gas chromatography stationary solution.
