Description
Light yellow powdery or flaky crystals. The melting point is 134.5-136.5 °C, soluble in 95% ethanol 1.8%, benzyl benzoate 25%, benzyl alcohol 13% and some other oil fragrances, the flash point > 100 °C. It has a sweet and musk-like animal scent, and the aroma is softer and quite persistent. Keto musk is one of the best nitro musks that is important and is a great fixative. It is widely used in flavor formulations, and can be used for all those who need a musky aroma, especially in sweet, oriental and heavy fragrance flavors.
