Description
Lactobacillus casei (L.casei) is a short rod-shaped or long rod-shaped polymorphic bacilli, varying in length and width, generally less than 1.5 μm. The two ends of the fungus are flat and square, and the arrangement is mostly short or long chain. Spherical indification can sometimes be seen. Gram stain is positive, non-motility, and does not produce spores. Commonly used probiotics include Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacteria, which together with Lactobacillus casei are called "healthy tribenegi".
