What is a plate heat exchanger?
Plate heat exchanger is a new type of high-efficiency heat exchanger composed of a series of corrugated metal plates. Thin rectangular channels are formed between different plates, through which heat is exchanged. Plate heat exchangers are ideal for liquid-liquid, liquid-vapor exchange.
Plate material: 304, 316, 316L, titanium.
Sealing ring material: nitrile rubber (NBR), EPDM, fluororubber.
Total heat transfer coefficient: 3500-7500W/m²· K
Merit:
1. Heat transfer conditions: especially suitable for liquid-liquid heat exchange with large flow rate and small temperature difference.
2. Thorough cleaning: All can be removed and cleaned thoroughly.
3. Easy to change the heat exchange area or process combination: by increasing or decreasing several plates, the heat exchange area can be increased or decreased. By changing the plate arrangement or replacing multiple plates, the desired combination of flows can be achieved to accommodate the new heat transfer conditions.
4. Small size: compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, the floor space is one-third of the tubular heat exchanger.
5. Light weight: the plate thickness of the plate heat exchanger is only 0.4~0.8mm, while the thickness of the heat exchanger tube of the shell and tube heat exchanger is 2.0~2.5mm. The shell and tube are much heavier than the frame of the plate heat exchanger, and the weight of the plate heat exchanger is generally only about 1/5 of the shell and tube type.
6. Low price: With the same material, under the same heat exchange area, the price of plate heat exchanger is about 40%-60% lower than that of shell and tube heat exchanger.
7. High heat exchange efficiency: the heat exchange coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of tubular heat exchangers
8. Low heat loss: the heat recovery rate can be as high as 90%.
9. The logarithmic average temperature difference is large, and the terminal temperature difference is small.

Metallurgical industry: direct or indirect cooling of coke ovens, cooling of mill lubricating oil and gear oil, waste heat recovery.
Food technology: heating, cooling, evaporation, crystallization, sterilization and other food, beverage, juice, beer and other processing technology.
Paper making process: black liquor cooling, bleaching heat recovery system, lye heating, cooling, wood pulp condensation, water heating.
Pharmaceutical industry: various pharmaceutical industries. Heating, cooling, evaporation, condensation and sterilization of purified water.
