IOTA 9108 is a type of composite material made from a dense Si-N precursor. It can be used as a thermal insulation material and can also be used as a precursor for ceramic materials, achieving dense SiCN ceramic products under relatively mild conditions.

Storage:
IOTA 9108 can be used for dry storage. However, due to moisture sensitivity, exposure to water or moisture should be avoided, as it may affect product quality. Additionally, avoid contact with acids, alkalis, and other corrosive substances.
Curing conditions:
IOTA 9108 can be cured at 120-180°C under actual conditions. Curing can also be performed under vacuum or inert gas conditions.
IOTA 9108 can also be used for sintering under pressure, typically at 80-100°C.
Curing time is determined by the curing temperature and pressure, generally ranging from 2-5 hours.
Sintering conditions:
IOTA 9108 cured material undergoes high-temperature sintering to form dense ceramic products, typically above 1400°C for dense products, and above 1400°C to start sintering. Ceramic products are composed of sintered materials, with SiC and Si3N4 as the main components; the gas phase is mainly Si3N4; the inert gas phase is mainly SiOCN.
Additionally, the cured material is easily affected by the filling material, which also affects the ceramic product composition.
Shelf life:
The unopened IOTA 9108 has a shelf life of half a year; after opening, the usage period is affected by protective measures, with a recommended usage period of two months or more.
Cleaning:
Proper cleaning methods are very important. After use, quickly clean with ethanol or solvent to prevent equipment from contamination.
Once IOTA 9108 is cured, it cannot be washed off.
Precautions:
IOTA 9108 should be used in a ventilated, dry environment, and necessary protective measures should be taken, such as gloves, masks, and protective goggles; do not expose uncured IOTA 9108 to heat sources, humid air, or water.
