The Preox flame retardant fiber originates from non-woven blankets made with pre-oxidized polyacrylonitrile and or leftover virgin material.
Its main application is in the formulation of brake pads, reducing sparking at the time of braking and durability of the final product.
Another possible application is in rubber products, where after incorporation the material will have the anti-flame property.
It should be noted that pre-oxidized polyacrylonitrile does not catch fire, does not melt, does not give off odor, does not drip, does not smoke.
